Through our partnership with Varian Instruments, Inc., Vydac is proud to offer Dynamax RamPak column packing systems.

These unique, pneumatically controlled axial compression systems facilitate easy, reliable on-site packing of high-performance preparative and process columns. They will operate with a variety of adsorbents, including those best suited for your application. They are ideal for use with Vydac bulk adsorbents, with chemistries identical to analytical and semipreparative columns for reliable preparative and process scaleup.

A selection of available column dimensions, from 41 mm to 150 mm bed diameter and bed length up to 350 mm, provides versatility to meet current and future requirements.

Varying the amount of packing slurry determines the column length.

Whether you need to purify a few milligrams or several grams of material, a Dynamax RamPak column can be tailored to maximize throughput while reducing costs.

Dynamic Axial Compression

Axial compression has proven to be an effective method for extending the life of preparative HPLC columns. RamPak systems apply constant axial pressure to the head of the column, preventing formation of voids and channels. Dynamax RamPak columns maintain performance and efficiency far beyond the point where columns in conventional hardware deteriorate and require repacking.

Ease-of-Operation

The RamPak column packing system is easy to operate. A source of compressed air is the only requirement. Operating panel functions are clearly defined. The manual provides complete directions for slurry preparation for most common adsorbents. A novice chromatographer can learn to pack highly efficient preparative and process columns in less than an hour.
